Upcoming Programming
Marfa Community Day On April 29th, both Chinati Foundation and Judd Foundation invite you to join us for Community Day, an annual celebration with our West Texas friends and neighbors.
Open viewing of Judd Foundation’s La Mansana de Chinati "The Block" and a number of Chinati’s permanent and special exhibitions will take place from 1 – 5:00 PM. The day will culminate with a community BBQ dinner, beginning at 5:00 PM, featuring live mariachi music. All events and activities are free and open to the public.

Palm Desert
Marfa Voices Screening Judd Foundation's short documentary, Marfa Voices, directed by Rainer Judd and Karen Bernstein, will be screened on April 19 in Palm Desert, CA at the UCR Palm Desert campus, as part of the city's ongoing Artist Film Series. Dr. Steven Nash, Executive Director of the Palm Springs Art Museum will be the speaker for the evening and will host a Q&A following the screening. Jim Dine: Poet Singing and Dreaming of Spirit Animals: The Glass Art of Cappy Thompson, will also screen.

Marfa, Texas Receives Grant
Judd Foundation has received a $300,000 grant from the Brown Foundation for much needed repairs to Donald Judd's Architecture Office building in Marfa, Texas.
Judd Foundation is creating a master plan for the restoration of all its Texas properties and continues to identify additional restoration projects, some of which require significant ongoing maintenance due to their location in the high desert region.

Furniture Exhibition to Open
JGM. Gallery in Paris will present a Judd Furniture exhibition featuring bold colors in both the wood and metal designs. The furniture will be shown with furniture drawings and other Judd works. The exhibition will open June 9.

New York Programming
MoMA
On March 21st, Judd Foundation hosted a packed house at MoMA for a panel on the exploration of the artist’s studio or historic house and the role of objects in telling the story. Helene Furján, Assistant Professor of Architecture at University of Pennsylvania and Anne Higonnet, Professor of Art History at Columbia University were joined by Rainer Judd, President of the Board of Judd Foundation, and daughter of Donald Judd. The panel was moderated by Barry Bergdoll, The Philip Johnson Chief Curator of Architecture and Design at MoMA.
