A Special Invitation
Hans Zwimpfer and Judd Foundation
cordially invite you to a special reception at
the Peter Merian Haus in Basel, the only newly constructed, large-scale architectural project on which Donald Judd worked.
Wednesday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM
at 80 Peter Merian Strasse.
In collaboration with the architect, Hans Zwimpfer, Judd co-designed the facade for the Peter Merian Haus and required that the building feature 3 elements: the structure should have clean lines, be self-contained and should have internal organization visible from the outside. Composed entirely of rectangular green glass panels, configured to conform to Judd's design, this unique office complex was fully realized after his passing.
The building is also installed with site-specific works by Roni Horn, Pipilotti Rist, Brigitte Kowanz, Beat Zoderer, Hans Danuser and others.
The Peter Merian Haus is across the street from the Central Post Office, which is adjacent to the Central Train Station.
By Tram from the Art Fair: #2 to the central train stration. From the tram stop, head east on Nauenstrasse to Peter Merian Strasse.
